Try Priory Magnetos. Andrew Guttman, spinster of this parish, member of this forum and a very nice man runs an excellent service for our motorbikes.

Be careful in what you buy.
Some of the late steel type are rubbish.

Thanks, I got some points here in Queensland, but the problem is , looking at my points and carefully rotating the rear wheel in top gear the points (as I’m looking at them ), are rotating clockwise, I ordered clockwise points and there are the opposite way around. So are the ones in my BSA wrong, ( would it still run, if they were ), or do you look at the points from the other side, not straight on?? , any help much appreciated from this novice 😀

It can be confusing!
Convention dictates that mags are described as clockwise or anti-clockwise from the DRIVE end. So an anti-clockwise mag has points that rotate clockwise from the points end.
I assume the set you have bought must be the later steel backplate sort, on which the opening point is reversible on its pivot post - ie the assembly can work both ways.
BUT the crucial thing is that there be a FIXED point on the central mounting plate on the side you need it. Original Lucas sets had a fixed point anchored to both sides so this wasn't an issue, but many replicas (most of which are for anti-clcokwise mags) have just one point and a rivet where the second one would have been. What have you got?
If you have just the one fixed point, it can be transferred across and a rivet used where it came from.

You don't want to run with the 'wrong' rotation points, no. First, the heel on the opening point won't open the points in the same place (by far), thus wrecking the internal timing of the magneto: and secondly, the heel should trail, not lead, for mechanical reasons.

Photo shows anticlockwise (from drive end for A10) on left and clockwise (Vincent and Royal Enfield) on right. They do not interchange. The steel base plates are different and the genuine contact fixed point is different.
