Eventually I bought some 3BA screws galvanised and 1.5 inches long. I wanted longer screws to allow me to put the A65 rubber backing behind my teardrop badges. In fact 1” would have done.
I bought a packet of 30 so I have some spare and I am happy to offer them for a charity donation. I think a couple of quid mostly to cover second class stamp, preferably to the DGR charity mainly because I always have so few sponsors, but any charity.
I tried some M4 screws galvanised that I had in my workshop and I suspect they will do but I had none long enough anyway.
