Timing side footrest and lug (riders) required please ?

Im looking for the above as the splines are very worn on My 1955/56 Ariel wheel A10 .

Please message if Anyone has one for sale ?

As an alternative to a new one I did this:- Mark the correct spline position and clean it all up. I then completely filled the joint with J B weld and let it cure. True it is no longer adjustable but it is useable and mine has been good for about 10 years now. On the drive side I had to file a bit from the knuckle at the peg end in order to withdraw it, assembled, past the primary cover.

Hi Steve ,had the same problem ,same side after a slow speed off . Tried for 6 mths for a replacement but they are rocking horse pooh, desperation set in and not having the skill or welding set of RL2 I found that an old fork bronze bush fitted over the footrest spline to footrest and with a large washer was able to tighten it up so no slip  and it hasn't moved in 10 yrs. You can't see the bush .I even stand on the pegs ( bad knee ) to get a good swing to start and still no movement .it will keep you riding best of luck, Bob

I am going to build up the splines on a spare with TIG  weld then file it down to fit the splines on the footrest somehow !
May need to make resin pattern or similar to follow ?

do you know anyone with a workshop? you could do what mwas did on my kickstart shaft on the milling tool or even the crude way cut it in a lathe winding the saddle to cut it but you have to do the working out
