Camshaft 67-358
« on: 17.07. 2025 23:00 »
Hello, I always wanted to be in this forum, thank you very much for allowing myself to belong, I have an A10 Golden Flash of 1955, I always want to read and learn more about these great motorcycles, and I have been able to obtain some literatures, books, magazines that offer information, but I always have thirst to learn more, for example it was previously spectator, read what I was interested in knowing about these publications, but I can already ask a question to this great forum. Acceleration 67-358 of which I read little, I want to know your data, if I am a Afortando, they would help me with some more specific images or if there is literature, to provide these characteristics, thank you all in advance.

G'day Lestter,  *welcome*
My opinion the 356 is great for the road, 357 if you like giving it a fistful and 358 for racing only (will bog down under 4000rpm). Pic of cam timing.
Cheers

Below from BSA Incorporated, the USA East Coast importer.

The 358 cams were used in the 1954 factory entries for Daytona.

That diagram doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. From it I take the 357 is far superior to the 358, and the latter is a touring cam with too much exhaust lift. And the timings are all quite similar, which we know they're not. Hmmmm

Hello, very good for everyone here, thanks to the friends who answered my question about camshaft 358, I want to keep investigating, tell me if I ask a lot I hope not to bother or be tedious, in terms of bibliography for BSA A10 in this case of the camshaft 358, there are books that speak more of these crops of acceleration cams Having everything that can teach me for my knowledge, and seen a publication here that there was a speed kit for BSA A10, with double carburetor and camshaft 358, I think that in a 1960 magazine, and now that I see the elevation and grades, you know if there is more information, they know if you can buy or find a 358 camshaft 358 for sale, thank you
