Hi Steve, welcome BTW.
Go to where you store your photos and select the properties for the image or where it says edit, there you can adjust the size of it where it says resize image, or something like it, then lower the file size  to round about 1MB and save the new size then come back here and post. HTH.

Then it must be 3 x 4 meters big :O) which is what may come out of phones these days.
Max file size here is 4 mb, which is still a very, very large picture.
