Hi guys
Could you look at the attached pictures and tell me what the various numbers and letters mean on the crankshaft of my spitfire scrambler.
Regards
Paul

G'day Paul.
I can't help with the meaning of those but you will find a few ambiguous stampings in and around the motor/gearbox. Has a lot of people scratching their heads.
Cheers

Just wondering what they all mean, bit like a dog with a bone, hopefully will get some more info on them.

One possible is that they are simply part of the the production process to identify source of supply, quality inspection, batch code etc.

Hi Swarfy
You are probably right, it does seem like that, I just wondered had they anything to do with the crank weight or balancing of during its assembly.
Thanks guys
