Maybe this will help.
The basic crinkle hub centre has slight variations, but a crinkle hub from any bike can be adapted to fit, with the correct internals.
Identification..... Plunger hub has two bearing locking rings, one each side, both left hand thread. Swing arm hub has only one locking ring, on brake drum side.
Later unit models, A65 etc are the ones with speedo drive on the right hand side. 18" rim usually the size on these.
All the hub bearing OD's are the same but with different spindles and bearing spacers, ID is different depending where the hub started life.
S/A and plunger brake assemblies are different. Sprocket is 42 teeth for solo bike, many plunger bikes were used with a sidecar and have a 49 tooth "Dinner plate" so care needed buying used. Later Plunger brake back plate has internal strengthening brace between shoe pivot and lever bush. S/A drum and plunger drums do not interchange, the drum bearing sizes differ as the spindle design changed from a single through shaft (Plunger) to a two piece on the S/A models.
