HI All,
I would also recommend the people mentioned already, I have had work done by all of them from time to time
Independant ignition have sold their winding busineess, I have no news of how the new co. is

As an interesting aside  for comparison purposes
On the Irish rally the other week, 130 bikes @500 miles each = 65000 bike miles
(OK the weather was good)
One magneto failure, it was just overhauled and the spark disappeared?? It was persuaded back to life with some TLC by one of the guys
I lost count of how many electronic and battery/coil ign bikes gave trouble  ???? ???? ???? ???? ????
batteries failed, pickups got oil on them, charging systems failed (not all dynamos) coils etc, wiring issues
and so on,
So for me I'm sticking to my mag *smile*

Cheers

Just had mine done for the A10 Plunger. He comes recommended from various sources including my mates down at the Velocette Club. Fair price and was recently turned round in about 3 weeks.

I would also like to recommend Paul at

A.P.L Magnetos
1 Maple Close
Shaftsbury
SP7 8RF

Tel: 01747 852136
Mob: 07860828546

He has done a number of mags for me and all have been well reconditioned, quick turnaround if you just want it to work, a bit longer if you want to look like new, and all at a reasonable price. I understand that he rewinds the armatures for a number of repairers including SRM and Tony Cooper.

Yes, but Tony took exactly the time he said he would, on my Mag.

That was one week then.

Almost all other repairers seem to lie about such things.
