G'day Mike.
Why don't you reco your old one?
Easiest way just take the end plate and extension housing off (do not remove the gears). Use a thick piece of glass and wet&dry paper and lap the gear marks out of the plate & housing. Care when assembling use the glass to keep the parts flat and tighten the screws a little at a time and spin the pump between each tighten. If it binds back off screws and start again.
Better than waiting weeks to find a new replacement and if s/hand I'd do the above anyway.
Cheers

But as Musky says, DO NOT remove the gears unless you've marked them indelibly. They don't go back together haphazardly.

Hepolite/Wassell do a cast iron bodied pump which is worth a consider. Anyone bought one lately? They were priced at the same level as the SRM pump.

 Swarfy.

Additional. Like SRM a quick looky on t'net would indicate that for the time being both are on back order from the usual suspects.
