Rear tyre size

Just out of interest what would be the widest tyre that the chain line would allow on the longstroke. I've got to buy a rim and 18"ones are more available.

Hi Nourish,
I would stick with the 19in. rim, A smaller wheel size will make the bike "Look Wrong" upset the gearing and make putting the bike on the centre stand even more difficult.
Rims are drilled and dimpled to suit the particular hub diameter and width !

I was thinking with a wider tyre the profile would be bigger that would compensate for a smaller rim and keep a similar rolling diameter?

My Venom has a wider 4 X 18" tyre  rather than the original 19" on the back, and the difference in diameter is negligable.
Fair point about the stand if the tyre was noticeably smaller in diameter though.
