Rocker box “mod”

I know historically rockers and mods don’t get on, but what’s going on here? Any thoughts?

whats going on? well someone couldn't get the push rods located so did that.

Would make getting the pushrods seated a whole lot easier. Bit of a bodgy job though. A milling machine would have made a nicer job. Interesting idea tho.

I think they trained up the operators with the longest fingers, probably women, they are the most dexterous...

I remember in Ford's automatic transmission plant in Bordeaux, all the workers assembling the hydraulic 'brain', the valve body and shift control valves, were female. Men just couldn't do it, not at line speed at any rate.

Interestingly, the Ariel Huntmaster (Ariel's version of the A10) had a similar thing as standard, however, the one in our thread is obviously a mod. Have a look at this....

My first big bike was a Huntmaster. The 'ole in the top was useful.
