nourish yes do as i did drill all the ally factory plugs out except the one that sprays the timing gears unless you can set it up in a mill ---- still dodgy and no need, then clean them out with solvent i used petrol and thin brushes those that are on twisted wire , then use a syringe and pressure more solvent through them and blow them out with compressed air. i spent ages doing mine on the berger build and the crud that came out was LOADS, then tap the holes and make new alloy plugs put a slot in them and screw them in with goooo. jobs a good en/ i did the camshaft feed in the right crankcase half -- maybe not applies to your engine, the bottom one in the right hand case and the one above the relief valve.

These are '49 cases - there only seems to be one aluminium plug and that's behind the rear l/h cylinder stud!

The oilway round the back of the bush can be sprayed through with carb cleaner, It runs from the oilpump via the spring loaded ball valve, which has been removed, round to the PRV cavity centre hole. PRV vents down back into the oilpump cavity on these early cases . The later cases route this blow off up to the camshaft trough, via internal drillings which bergs accessed to clean through. Well worth doing on later cases. This oilway is absent from the Long Stroke and early Short Stroke cases.....that's progress.
