Chapeltown gathering, near Sheffield
« on: 10.08. 2010 12:04 »
Am ammazing collection of classic bikes last night at a pub on the North side of Sheffield. I had the pleasure of riding there with 2 other green A7's - both SS models, we cut quite a dash through the City !
Some lovely BSA's on show as well as many other marques.
There must have been over 150 classics as well as at least as many modern machines !

The plunger A7 is a new acquisition for a friend who bought it off Ebay for quite a modest sum.

More pictures to follow!

Yes that's us, we live less than a mile apart and only met a couple of months ago at one of the local classic bike events !

The older chap on the other A7SS in the photo is a Doctor, presumably retired, from Hathersage who bought the A7SS for £25 as a basket case many years ago, I met him last night for the first time. The bike ran very nicely and riding the three of them together made for a real eye catcher.

Lovely pictures, I really liked that red A7, we didn't get there until about 8.00pm and I never realised it would be so busy.  Did you notice the really tatty green BSA on the road side with the black enfield next to it, there ours.  If I'd have know who you where I'd have said hello.

I used to live near Chapeltown but am over at Dronfield now so don't get to that side of Sheffield too often. My riding tends to be weekend spins round the Peak District and to the classic shows at this time of year, Hope, Attercliffe etc.

Well I'll look out for you next year then, being optimistic by nature I'd like to say that I should be going on my A10 next time.  You'll be able to tell which is mine it will probably be black.  Bob will have the pick of 3 BSA's by then so no knowing which one he'll turn up on.  If we pop in at any more classic shows around Sheffield I'll look for the green A7's to see if I can spot you.
