Un numbered cases?

Hi...

I had what I think is a lucky spell this afternoon when I went to pick up some A series cases. I blindly made a purchase not knowing if these cases were A7 or A10 but as they were cheap I paid my £46 and had them. Went to pick them up and looking firstly for its engine number to identify them, I find that they are virgin blank, brand new old stocks! I'm now wondering what these are worth? Anyhow there are a couple of other numbers, one pair being the matching case half numbers (833) and the other one which I am curious about, and wondering if this number can give any indication of its age ( 22 4 631 )

What do you think? Any info out there?

P.S. The white smear on drive side is wiped off paint.

NOS ? - looks like it has had an oil seal on the drive side fitted at some time

Hi Bill... I guess your referring to the four punch marks? I wondered about them as well. Hmmmm?

With the cases I also came away with a pair of con rods, included in the price... Are these a matched pair? and again A7 or A10??

A10 I think, others will have more idea though, anyway you look at it, seems a good buy

LJ, they look like A10 large journal rods. These would have a big end bore diameter of 46,82 to 46,83mm.
