Magneto Pinion Rivets

I'm trying to find out the size of rivets for a 1958 Triumph 650 manual mag pinion, I am hoping the Triumph and BSA are similar. I have searched and found some information on the rivets for the Auto Advance type mag pinion but nothing on the manual type.

Can anyone please help with the size of the required rivets and where they may be obtained from?

If you have a fibre pinion rivetted to a centre, why not measure the depth of the holes?

No, two piece.

If you have a fibre pinion rivetted to a centre, why not measure the depth of the holes?

Because I am trying to find this info for an old boy down the road who cant get about at the moment and doesn't have a computer. Whats left of the pinion is still in the engine.

I'd probably check Tri-supply, TMS, etc., for a solid steel or aluminium pinion.

The rivets on the BSA  AR unit fiber wheel are 3/16 diameter and just under an inch long. I usually grind them down lengthwise to fit. You can always use a length of MS and pein both ends over.
