I'm not very discriminating when it comes to liking A10's in their various incarnations, so I hope I will not be ostracised for liking this. I have yet to read the lengthy text, but suppose the price is not realistic (not that I would buy it).

Out of curiosity, anybody knows what clutch is used, and the tappet cover ?

I have those tappet covers on mine, though someone has machined a big fancy piston shaped nut to go on the breather hole. They were made in America by WEBCO, My finned alloy rocker box oil feed is stamped as that. In England the tappet covers were made by Eddie Dow. Great "Go faster" accessories as they weigh considerably more than the originals, are a pain to clean, and make the engine look like a Christmas cake...I love 'em because they're period tat and were hard to come by....until SRM starting making them again (they're probably billet rather than crude casting though)

Boy, that looks like a commando clutch...lending yet more credence to the rumors that a commando clutch will fit a plunger mainshaft...

 I don't mind it as well. These bobber things are growing on me.

i'm the same as muskat,i'm beginning to like the bobber style bikes,and it was one of the dow mods to fit the plunger shafts to the later box's to enable the norton or speedway type clutch's to be fitted,

Richard.     You seem to be asking if it,s ok to like a non standard A10. Some people will not go near an  A10 unless it,s exactly as it left the factory its a matter of personal choice. Mine is nothing like original but I love it. The E bay one is not my choice but it,s up to the individual.

Looking at the photo of my bike, registered a '55, I think you will see that I think it's OK to like a non-standard A10. I know everyone here has a "to each his own" attitude, so I was just kidding about. Although, I have caught just a hint from one or two of our friends here that, in their eyes, choppers are abominations, but they don't think less of us who don't see it quite that way.

Each to his own, and lets face it there are enough A' to go around that a few spared for chops won't hurt
