Yeah, It's only worth what somebody is prepared to pay!!  Let's see if it sells or not.

If it does sell, then I've got a barrow load of crap that is worth more than the A10 I'm riding.

I've had stuff off this seller, he sells odd bits of Brit bikes but mostly Japanese I think ( just an idea I got from his name)
Can't remember what I got but it was OK
Obviously hasn't got a stamp set with RT punch s in it or he could have polished it and put a nought on the end of the price

Look at the method of refinishing the shaft taper o that gearbox 
I must learn to cut a taper with an angle grinder LOL

Ok....it didn't sell....so I guess that the seller was the only guy who thought it was worth that amount.

Drat.  My barrow load of crap is still a barrow load of crap.  I thought I might be able to sell it all on fleabay and buy myself a DBD34 Goldstar with the proceeds.  Back to the real world guys.

I had my eye on an A50 brake arm that I thought might work with a rod conversion (when I get around to it)
£2.00 starting bid, 0 bids, I bid and immediately I'm out bid - I don't like that, think maybe a bit of pushing the price up going on so back off, he can have it.


Just went back and had a look, no further bids, he won it, think maybe it wont have far to travel

Bit disillusioned with Ebay right now. I bought a pair of Raygun's for the Rocket 3 from a well known seller. Apart from poor plating and rust coming through in places, they weren't a matching pair - the silencer to pipe tube was different lengths by a good 3/4". Most importantly they were 1/2" shorter than the original Cambell's I took of the bike.

When I contacted them they were very apologetic - offered replacement or refund and I chose the later because I didn't trust that the replacements would be any better. The final insult was that their returns policy does not include a refund of the costs to send back, so £14.75 paid for sfa.

Decided to not buy anything heavy/large by mail order in future.

Funny how we all have different experiences with ebay. I have got quite a lot over the last few years and have been pleased with all. Just today I received a set of cases, all bearings and bushes as new and the whole lot was polished!! $55AU, I'm happy.

Don't get me wrong, I have also bought loads through Ebay and other mail order sellers - and will continue to do so. Its just if the item is large or heavy and needs returning it ends up costing.

That goes with just about everything you buy these days. The post/freight charges are never covered.
