Another Ebay Warning

G'day Everyone,
I purchased a repo headlight from the UK on ebay,
it arrived in a very badly packed small box with dents in
the shell, rim & cracked glass. Seller was less than concerned
so I notified PAypal & put in a refund claim. Paypal agreed a refund
was valid, but I had to pay the freight back to the Uk, about $40 AD,
& if there was any more damage on return that was already documented,
there would be further deductions. Considering all the damage was caused
by the sender, I don't think that is fair by a long shot, something to consider
on international deals.

I didn't bother sending it back.

         I reckon that they have lost a customer for good!
Name and shame so we all can avoid them.
A new rim will only set you back around $20 locally and a bit of work on the shell will fix that.
Light units are available but I usually scrounge Lucas units from swap meets fairly cheaply.
Occasionally good ones are found.

Just noticed he's up to 4 neg. now, I think this Dodo should be struck off ebay,
probably just start-up under a new name. I think it's definatly worth only shopping
with 100% pos. feedback sellers & shops with lots of transactions.

I don't mind 99.8 or so, specially if they've sold large numbers, bound to have had one get lost or just an awkward buyer.
If a seller was going to fiddle feedback they'd most likely give themselves 100.
I gave neutral feedback to a seller about a month ago (Gold Star badges - absolute crap), he did give a full refund so gave neutral, hasn't shown up on his feedback yet though  ????

Probably he has asked ebay to delete it. You got to be most grateful to get a full refund and leave positive feedback!
