12 Volts Kit?

Hello. I made a little search in forum looking for some 12v kit.

For those who doesn't know, my bike have an 12v system made by car parts.
It's functional but not that pretty.  *smile*

So technology advances and I want to know if have some kit to buy and what I have to do to install.
I don't have nothing of the original 6v.

I saw the http://www.dynamoregulators.com but I don't know what exactly I have to buy...  ????

Most people use the DVR2 which can be used for 6v or 12v depending on how you fit it. Be aware that you should have a good quality armature in your dynamo.

 G'day DT,
              you don't say if you still have the E3L dynamo.
I have two running the DVR2 at 12 volts.

That's a very clever bit of kit! If it works I'd leave it alone.

 Very interesting DT. Not sure I like an alternator there stopping cooling air to the motor.
 Have you gathered parts as suggested back in 09? Putting a E3L dynamo back in would solve the above problem but I'm not sure it would run that ignition system as well as good lights. I find the E3L will run my Boyer and lights at 12 volts through a DVR2 quite well, but I don't do a lot of night riding.
 By the way, my cafe racer (formerly a '57 A7SS) came to me from Brazil back in 1991.

I had to stop the bike because some government leaders decided to do some "air control" and began checking all vehicles in my city (the largest in the country), with some absurd cco values​​.

When this started I did not try to pass, and so many other people who have old cars and motorcycles they left their toys waiting.

This month, a group earned a law to bypass the control in vehicles until 1965 and now I have to remount the motor to ride again with my BSA.

Muskrat, very interesting that your bike came from Brazil, we don't have many of this kind here.
