Agreed as well - The help and knowledge of the forum members has given me the confidence to tackle some real problems on my bike

Never a bad word said, unlike some of the other slanging fest websites I have been on. You know if you ask a stupid question on this site you won't be made to look like an idiot.

Too true,

Classic biking brings you into a world of people who are all there to help out their comrades.  I have found this site, thanks to the members here to be a real life saver and a great education.  Could not have rebuilt my Flash without the fellas here  *smile*

The ticker tells me I have been logged on to this site for all of 7h 27 m in total - and what a lot I have learned in that short time.  Here is a wealth of priceless information and genuine first hand experience on tap, for anyone who cares to ask - wonderful!  Now that the 'bike shop on the corner, with a man in a brown coat behind the counter' is a thing of the past in most towns it is forums like this that make owning old machinery possible without breaking the bank (close to breaking sometimes though!) and a great deal of fun.
Please accept my thanks too - perhaps in advance.

Hi Terry, Not all the old corner shops have disappeared, Modak in Melbourne Australia is a time warp and still has all the old pidgeonholes with little bits of bikes in. "Mum" is incredible and knows just about any part for any old British bike and where the part fits and she's in her late 80's I believe. Last time I was there she was on crutches as she had climbed the ladder to the top pidgeon holes and the ladder slipped sideways and she fell and broke her hip, but that didn't mean she left her post. Her and her son Dave are legends and I just hope Feebay doesn't close them down. Cheers. Gerry
