Hiya Bill...

Not quite sure what the oil pipe 'union' is and I dont have a manual to check the part number. Is it the banjo your looking for? I see there is an oil tank with parts attached on ebay at the moment, take a look.

P.S. Any pics of your Star Twin? Love to see!

Bill
If you go to the file with the picture and right click it then go to open with then select microsoft office picture manager then when the picture is opened right click the picture and selsct EDIT then click on compress picture then select document or webb it will lower the megga bytes or whatever and then save the as and give them a different file name then they will be small enough to send.
Sorry have checked in the garage and do not have any but I beleive they are the same as the plunger type

it looks like he has a plunger engine with a bolt on gearbox fitted into a plunger frame that has been converted into a swinging arm frame .Have a look at the oil tank it looks like a plunger type with a tool box fitted behind also it looks like a single downtube not a duplex as on the proper swinging arm BSA frame may be a non bsa frame need to see a better picture

For BezaBills benefit, here is some more of his pictures he has emailed me to upload...

Quote
i bought the bike 2 years ago at net marsh ina box it is a star twin  with a macandlish modifacation i am told i was also told it,s a matchless thus the tool box dont like all the mod,s but some things do change over the years all work  and paint done by yours faithfully all matching numbers full engine and gear box overhaul new rocker boxes exhaust wheel rims and stainless spokes and bearns new seat ing arrangment all took a lttle time but i think it all came together quite nice

(Bill... Hope this helps, let me know if you want any removing, I can re edit the post. I'm confused. Which is the bike currently in question, the unusal rebuilt beauty or the one posted by Bill, whose beauty was yet to emerge.
