Reliability & speed on the new server

Hello, nearly 2 months now since moving the forum to it's new location. Seems to have settled down well. Some reports about speed, reliability and whatever regarding the connection would be appreciated. Either post here or send a PM\email.

Am myself sometimes getting a '403 forbidden' when not using www. in front of the domain name, but this could be a local thing related to my internet provider, & usually works again after a few minutes. But would like to hear if anybody else has experienced this (or some other cases of periodic non-access).

Thanks for any info, would be of help to ensure everyone are getting the best possible service.

I have had a few 403’s.
I use a bookmark in google chrome to access the forum which has the www in front.
I have also had a couple of no data provided errors

Neither of the above are regular, just an intermittent problem which I would suggest is a host problem within their network.

Speed is normally very good (any problems probably local my children are home with their laptops)

Hi Admin - I just had 2 days were I could not get into the forum  - got a message from my anti virus AVAST there were some kind of malware or virus and it was blocked - then tonight I suddenly again were allowed acces? anyone else noticed?

Looks like a false positive, but anything can happen these days... Am checking (scanning) the files on the server regularly, & the host is controlling content + am using this for general reference >  https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=www.a7a10.net

No problems for me, based in Spain most of the time I use internet, just can't get the user name and password remembered , but that might be my browser???? otherwise bit quicker and seems stable

That's an 'inside job' for the browser, try googling about how to fix it for the browser you use > example

Hi admin ive had some "forbidden" errors and always use the saame bookmark on my samsung tablet, it works if i wait a few min and try again
Withe new site i also (like post above) have an issue that i do not login as on the old site without entering the user etc, but oddly if i go to a post i get logged in automatically, just seems like the index page is the problem with auto logins, on the new site. Ive not tried to fix this in the browser as there is no need as i just go to a post to trigger the auto login  i just thought it worth mentioning as it seems to be a side effect of moving the server

You may have a stored a link to the previous site (***.net), which gets redirected to a7a10.net, and some stored info\password for ***.net together with some new info for a7a10.net, may cause confusion here and there.

Maybe try updating the info stored in the browser, by deleting the browser cache\cookies, updating user\PW and deleting stored user\PW for the old site (Firefox has very good PW management, IE needs an extra program to get the overview, this program gives some control\overview over stored user\pw info in IE (may trigger your antivirus, false positive, no danger). Also, here's how to delete an individual user\PW in IE.

Seems this is happening sporadically. Will need to ask the hoster to look at their settings. Thanks for the info.

When I switched to the new server I removed the old link on my favourites
then added the new, I set the log in time as forever, ( I had to go and retrieve the password or get a new one??)
All has been well in the world since

All has been good here but just noticed that when not logged in I tried to follow the link within the 'MOVED: Collection/Delivery required by admin (Bikes, Pictures & Members)' Item and got the following message

and the login page, don't think this is expected behaviour.

These links work fine when logged in

Also when after logging in the system goes to the last item read rather then the home page

Sorry did not realise that  'Chat, Offtopic & Diverse'  was a non public board (makes sense though). I do clear cookies regularly so will watch the place it sends you when I log in and report if I see a pattern.  I have not had the unread posts problem.
