Hello from South Cumbria
« on: 01.12. 2008 17:34 »
Thought I'd say hello after stumbling across this site whilst, what the wife calls, "wilf"ing (What was I Looking For?) on the internet.

I live near(ish) to Kendal and this is my super rocket Photo taken two years ago at Kendal castle.

Hi Rob
Welcome aboard! LJ is right, this is the right place for information and knowledge.

I have two questions for you:
What part of Kendal are from, I originate from Grange so know the area well.
Does your user name mean that you are are fellow 'Fender' fan or is there some other meaning of strat?

Thanks tombeau. I hope the next comment is "wottle it do"!!!!

Yes Cider, I live in Grange, have lived here about three years after moving up from Manchester for work as a guitar teacher, so yes very much a fender fan.

Snowbeard, the rack came from Cand D a few years ago, actually for the earlier a series with the lifting handle bracketry, ie before the arrow head mudguard mounts (if that makes sense).
I have heard they stopped suplying them after some quality issues, not sure if thats true. Personally I'd be tempted to make my own a bit of copper pipe and some 90 degree elbows and half a day with a blow torch should see you right, and you can make it as big or small as you like!

Thanks LJ you all seem like a friendly bunch
