Bike values?

I am pondering selling my BSA - not ridden for years and an elusive oil pressure problem.

As its so far from standard I guess its not worth that much but it does have a lot of good parts like the ally head, good crank, good standard barrels etc and a lot of SRM engine mods

My guess is its only worth a couple of thousand max as a complete bike but stripped for parts would be a lot more.

Not really sure. You're right about it being worth a lot in parts. Seems a real shame to do it though.
INMHO I would say that any more or less complete A10..even a rusty old hulk is worth £1500. Yours has a lot of good bits and even runs. I'd guess at it being well worth £3000 anyway. Maybe £3500. But then it's easy to say that, I'm not looking to buy one.Have a look and see what people are advertising them for on ebay, and what they are actually selling for.

DON'T DO IT.
It's a buyers market and at the moment bikes are not reaching anyone's expectations. As tombeau says it should be worth 3-3.5k but would probably only fetch half that. Parts might get back up there, but she's a goer.
 You'll never get another like her. Sell the wife, sell the kids, sell the car.
 You'll get to the bottom of the problem, please persist.

I second the above, if you've got one hang onto it! If you end up buying another one you may end up with a whole new set of problems, better the devil you know etc 

In the recent past I've funded a honda GB500 project by selling off almost a whole bike (mainly surplus XR600 parts) on the equivalent of ebay here in nz, and yes it does result in more money but its a lot of work!

I have always thought "market Value" is what the market will pay ? never under estirmate the value of anything. We all know they aren't making more of them.
