1957 Road Rocket muffler
« on: 02.08. 2013 13:14 »
Hi guys,

Does anyone know if the proper 1957 muffler has welded on hangers or the bolt on like the later models with the slot on the back side?  Could be a deal in the making if it is the first style..........

As always, thanks for your advice

G'day Joe. They would be welded on brackets. The other type are aftermarket universal type.

Further to that, the 1957 muffler is cylindrical and changed to cigar shaped in 1958.
I think the slotted mufflers came in 1960.
