Hi guys
Any help on the following will be much appreciated
Thickness of thrust washer part no 67-3203, behind lay shaft gear 67-3199
What should be end float on layshaft ?, & how does one take this up. Is it washers between gear & casing?

Hiya Anji, is this a trick question- 'm sure you've asked this before not so long ago*????*
I'm no expert on this, but from memory, 0.093" comes to mind for 67-3203 , but so also does 0.085" and 0.130" *conf*...but fairly sure it's the foremost (0.093"-ish)- it's been discussed before if you do a search for that #you'll find answers; I just did and they're there

Re the end-float, value has been debated, I went for minimal. To increase- gasket thickness. To decrease; *dunno* increase bushing thrust collar thickness ?

Hey Dutch, is this the exact washer that Pedro chose to leave out? Do you remember this?

Anji, don't take my question to Dutch as advice.

No, I'm fairly sure it was the circlip (67-3101), behind the constant mesh gear at the other end

Hi duTch
Thanks for info. In the meantime I have also stripped down my Super rocket for a rebuild & checked the thrust washer thickness. It is .110 " ( 2.3 mm ). I also tried this in the A 7 box & after assembly gave an end float of around .005 "
Does that sound about right.I can have one made & hardened here in Pune.  I had bought the A 7 as a basket case some months back. Take care
Anji
