While I accept things and vocabulary change this particular word MATH is a step too far for me, it just does not sound correct and really grates, so I may be swimming against the tide

We have a few words that are spelt differently and give things/parts different names.
English (spelling & vocabulary) was never a strong point, I preferred maths & science.
Now how do I change spell check to proper English?

   I'm with B-Bill on this, but not really 'Swimming against the tide"...Tide goes in and out.  This is more a case of 'pushing shit uphill', and then navigating liquid runoff of same shit in 'a barb-wire canoe with no paddle'

 CRAP/CRAPPOLA/GARBAGE.... do you think they understand that? I hope so. They need to learn to read and spell and use punctuation and general language skills so it's easier to read.

 In my work situations, we're often reminded that ' the standard we walk past is the standard we accept' and is even the motto of one big company (while I may not think much on that Corp. I agree with that).

 A 'BIT' is 1/8 of a 'Byte', so when there's a 'Byte' or more you know it's too wet for the bike   

  Shouldn't have started me off.   I hate the word 'got', and especially 'have got'
 There's a big difference between lots of words;

there's a big difference between;  ensure/insure/assure
there's a big difference between;  Enquire and Inquire
there's a big difference between;  Cheque and Check     Spelluncheck even tells me 'cheque' needs 'checking'

I even heard a discussion on 'spelled' and 'spelt' the other week
