Newbie Joining from Devon UK
« on: 30.03. 2021 19:17 »
Good evening fellow BSA A10 owners.
I have recently acquired a 1957 BSA A10. My grandfather rode one in the 60's and its a bike that i have always wanted.
It came in so many bits i was able to get the whole bike in my VW Polo.
I have started the dry build however i am in need to some information as the gearbox is not responding to the input from the gear lever.
Thankyou for a great site which will hopefully provide some much needed advice on the rebuild.

Regards

Good of you to join us.
We can all relate to your name!
Is it a swing arm or plunger (57 last of the plungers)?
Please post questions in the relevant boards eg https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?board=34.0 many questions have already been answered there. Make good use of the search button.

Hi blacknails,  Welcome along. There are a good few members down that way, and  I know that part of the world very well and there are some great rides to be had.

Gearbox  design is very simple, most faults are an easy fix. Just tell us  the problem in a bit more detail.

Head over to the intro section, tell us  a little more about  how you got your bike. Years ago I collected a Plunger A7 from Foxhole, near St Austell, in the back of a Ford Capri. That was a bit crowded.  It's been downhill ever since!

Swarfy.
