Connecting rocker feed pipes together - '57 A10 Plunger

Once again I'm back to putting the A10 PL together (it has been a while, but time has been against me). So, I have a number of daft questions that I will post in the appropriate sections. So, daft engine questions:

Do you just use a small diameter oil pipe (and clips) to connect the rocker feed pipe to the pipe coming from the banjo on the oil return line?
Should there be a cork washer under the large dynamo drive sprocket to eliminate end float of the intermediate (idle) timing gear?

I should have looked harder it's the idler pinion oil seal I was thinking about.

Don't worry, there is no such thing as a daft question.

What oil seal do you mean on the idler pinion? If it is part no. 67-708, referred to as "oil seal" in the parts book, this is just the cork washer that goes under the dynamo sprocket. There's no other kind of seal or anything fitted there.

This is discussed in another thread. The question is, is that cork "seal" a Seal in as much as it stops oil passing, or does it stop end float which in itself could encourage oil to pass? It's unusual to have a cork washer acting in thrust.

I was being slightly flippant, referring to the 'cork' as an oil seal only as the drawing I found refers to it as an oilseal. Perhaps BSA preferred to use the term 'oil seal' in the drawing as it sounds better than 'fit a thick cork washer under....'
