G'day Gavin,
I am heading down to Perth tomorrow; will be in Collie Tuesday!

Am passing thru Mandurah early January.

Have you got any pics of progress to date?

If you need any plunger bits let me know; I might be able to help.

Look forward to catching up sometime,

Richard

Orabanda,
You were planning to use a BTH magneto in the restoration of your 60 super rocket.
If this is the new you-beaut electronic version, do you have any thoughts or comments about the thing.
Is it this one? link attached

I wonder if any of the electronic ignition manufacturers do any research on their automatic advance curves other than the beginning and the end.
cheers

HiOle,
Yes that's the one.
I have purchased it (found them very responsive; they had it in stock and shipped immediately).

However, it will be 6 months before I have the bike ready to run!

It is very well made. One idea I like is that the three mounting holes are elongated, so the timing can be easily varied several degrees. I might break out the round files, and do this to my other bikes with the K2Fs!

Merry Christmas!

Richard

Hi again, it's Gavin from Mandurah. You said you were heading down this way early January. maybe you could email me direct at gavndan@optusnet.com.au and we can get a time to meet etc. i'd appreciate chatting.

i have a few questions that you might be able to help with:
the carby doesn't have any id numbers on it... Amal, and i don't have any way of connecting the throttle cable. so i am a bit stuck there. I have just located ewarts fuel taps, but the corks are old and i know they will leak. do you know where i can get replacement corks? should i seal the tank before i use it, and if so what product would i use and where would i get that? i will have a few elecrical questions soon also, as i am about to start on that, which should be the last area before the old girl gets a run. i have attached a couple of recent photos for you.

Hello Gavin, nice bike, and the tank looks 1st class! Maybe you could post the questions in Tech Topics instead (in several separate posts) and someone here will surely have some input for you, and the answers can be of interest to many.

Thanks
