Hi Graybeard.  Do you think that this is correct for the A series plunger? I looked up the part number and it seemed to be for an  M series, rigid or plunger. I would be interested to know as I have a late plunger project sans sidestand.

My offer has been topped. The current offer is £45. I'm not willing to pay that much.
The description says it is for A7 & A10. It looks OK to me.

Well, I bought it. I paid £45 for a NOS prop stand for my Plungy. I was able to avoid postage cost as the chap lives close to my daughter. I've just been removing the adapted Triumph one that I had and fitted the real McCoy. It's more delicate looking than the one I took off and the bike leans a little further over making it easier to use on a cambered road edge. If anyone is desperate for a side stand for a plunger (that has the fixed part welded/brazed to the frame) let me know. You'll need to source the bolt, nut and spring for it and it would be better if it was shortened a little to allow the bike to lean over more but it's been ok for me.

From what I've seen of used original pieces for swingarm type, 45 GBP may be a really good deal. I think (hope) he was mistaken saying that "BSA" was "cast" in. I think it would have been forged. Correct?

I'm sure Greybeard meant the bracket is part of the frame not a clamp style fixing, it is a modified stand till I source an original one. We have agreed a good deal for both of us. Thanks for the feed back, this is my first BSA in fact first British bike so I'm on a very fast learning curve.

With another on the other side to balance it, that could actually be a fairly good idea for doing adjustments/check tests with motor running so it's off the main stand, as they tend to walk away.....
