worty i am really fed up with how things are i buy a speedo cable made wherever that leaks on the crimp at the gearbox then have one custom made in the dustbin that is England and that one has made in uk printed on it and that psses oil from the same place, there is no hope anymore . i buy an engine sprocket advertised as old stock that to me should be OLD  bsa stock but it turns out to be a bag of soft crap imported by wassel . i look at the berger build innertube valve stem lock nuts and see loads of build up of corrosion and the very expensive stainless!!!???? steel rims reacting with the corrosion on the lock nuts!!, i look at betsy's 45 year old valve stems and lock nuts and they are perfect.. THEN i read a 7 page letter from royal primary care telling me that my blood test result is pre diabetic and then read several pages of script telling me how i can join clubs or take medication to combat this... ME A possibility to become DIABETIC NEVER!!!! i opened the bar after reading through all that bullsht just like the flaming death jab , keep this controlling stuff away from me..  then months after this scare mongering by a farmed out private health provider robbing us tax payers they admit that after putting other people on medication that has made them ill the machine testing the blood samples was not fit for purpose and has been scrapped!!!!!!! so 2000 people around Chesterfield have been worrying themselves sick and getting sick on medication they didn't need because of another F UP!! is there any wonder i go on a rant , this dustbin DIVERSE INCLUSIVE RAINBOW MG MGBGT+ "we take health and safety very seriously "
while ripping you off and dumping raw sewage in the water you end up drinking after they treat it with more chemicals than Assads ever seen  when there is no need if they didn't poison it for profit in the first place.! right rant over for now back to the black&tan , have a nice day and never get a smart meter because nothing is smart , [ death on the motorways just to boost the ECONOMY says it all, ]  it's their in word to con you. and don't let them tell you the meter is out of date like they are comparing it to a piece of pre packed chemical filled ham and you won't be able to get hot water ... that's it now i rest my case , VIVA REVO!  o yes where was i ? i know up to the neck in oil and grease and sht working on brit bikes , i knew i should have bought that placky 90cc that does 100mpg and just keeps going and going and going.. can't you tell i've had a bad a week and stopped smoking AGAIN!!! *smile*

Stuff the fags and fire up the bong, my man!

Can't fault your assessment of the world, never truer words spoken.

Ever get the feeling you're IN the world but not OF it?

I don't engage with society, we don't have anything in common.  From MGBGT+ stuff, to kneejerk politics, to 'elf and safety', to endless, pointless bureaucracy, to lies, false promises, hypocrisy, etc, etc, I can't be doin' with it.  All I do find is that when I do engage, it's just another battle.

.............. we're all (potentially) pre-diabetic, my friend.  Unless you're the size of an anorexic Ethiopean, then you're obese.  What a load of c*ck!

decided to get urma yonda out and go blasting over the hills with my mate today and i needed the release after discovering a half link i bought was no good for the berger build so i fitted two links from new chain i had left over from the initial sprocket set up. we  had a good blast and i think i will keep urma a bit longer and put a smaller back cog on her to bring the revs down a bit. i converted 40'000km to miles and decided that if this is genuine she hasn't done much over the years and apart from not liking the cold just like her owner the engine is very sweet , so i have decided why let someone else benefit from the extensive work i did on her to get her on the road again. ps Worty i haven't got a bong anymore shame.

My RGS copy is no longer an RGS copy! I've completed the transformation to a 'Cafe Racer' by fitting the Lightning Clubman seat I've had lying around for a few years, rather like the Lyta tank which has also been gathering dust. The seat was a bit tricky to fit as it involved making a bracket to link the seat mounts to the bridge on the mudguard. So the wleding tackle and the grinder had to come out which probably annoyed the neighbours. The bike has been an evolving project over many years and it's about as non-standard as you can get!

well i've been on this planet a bit now , well sometimes *eek*  *countdown*  but of all the half links i have fitted they went on ok but after some googling i discover they have thicker plates so you need a link with longer pins to make it work , well i've never had this problem before but i've only done it on primary chains . i ended up buying another half link for my regina chain that was advertised as regina and got the same problem *bash* anyway enough of that it's ended up with 2 bits of the same chain and split links. so off  i went on betsy 2 the berger build on another shake down run and nearly lost a rubber foot rest because they are crap and like to slide off the pegs. then the clutch decided to either have a stretched cable or the plates were settling in after swopping the rrt2 for a std. i did about 10 miles round trip and things are looking good but i didn't like sitting in traffic so tomorrow i will take her out in the hills away from those rat race people who sit in tanks , no oil leaks and she is very loud even with the wadding back on the baffles. thankyou for listening have a nice day i am opening the bar for some black&tans [ it's not racist yet is it ]  *beer* *beer*

Pretty sure us "bleedin' hearts" are able to figure out that "Black and Tan" originally referred to recruits into the Royal Irish Constabulary and has no racist implication.  (Thank you, Google.)

Picked it up from SRM after it needed a bit of work.
I was getting a horrible vibration and kept taking bits off the bike but to no avail, all it seemed to do was make the vibrations occur at a higher speed. So SRM had a look, they trued the rear wheel and balanced it after it looked like it had gone down the pub, had a skinful  and needed a balance, then they re-timed the ignition which was way out according to them, about 16 degrees from TDC, erm yes. So they took it on their rolling road and had it up to 60-65 mph and they reckon all is good now. I can't get out on it for a day or so but looking forward to it as they had it for about a month and worked on it between jobs.
