My tablet does that! I'll leave it as your comment refers it but I'll copy and repost, checking before posting.

Well I think Spring may have put in an appearance at last (possibly to be short lived) after a week of being blocked in we finally got to Berwick for some shopping, glad I have a petrol engined car this time for floods everywhere ( I have hydraulicked two diesels, why the put the air intakes where they do I'll never know).
Police stopping traffic yesterday on the A1 near Haggesrston to convoy through flooded bit, but today it's warm, dry and sunny - YES

Now the snow has gone I hope the temperatures are on the rise and heavy rain will give the roads a good rinse so I can soon have a little tootle.

...I have hydraulicked two diesels...
I don't think any engine does well inhaling liquid. I remember a petrol VW Golf coming in to our workshop when I was a mechanic in the 70's  that had driven though floods. The engine was destroyed  *work* . I thought then; why do they put the air intake low down beside the engine sump?  *conf2*

Well, a good sign is that our tortoise has decided to make an appearance after surviving the recent bitterly cold weather in his little hut. He survived the bad winter of 1963 in my parent's garden (I was in the Far East, so missed it *smiley4* ). He's at least 68 years old, has always lived outdoors and has the free run of the garden and makes his way back to his hut at the end of each day. Photo is of my wife feeding him after his hibernation as he hasn't the strength to do it himself for a day or so.

Hi Shirl  *wave* .
Hi Tortoise  *wave* I bet he's got a cute name. Don't tell us; let's have a guessing game. My guess is Alfred.

Roy, I'm sure Norfolk is a lovely place but in 1963 the Far East was where I was (in RM speak) jungle bashing - and trying very hard not to be shot  *eek* .

GB, He was named Tiny when I was 6 years old because he was small and could fit in the palm of my 6 year old hand. I'm sure he's going to outlive me.
